YogaMass®

In 2015, under the leadership and vision of Rev. Gena Davis, the Institute consulted to create YogaMass®, a unique worship experience engaging and integrating all of our dimensions -- physical, psychological, and spiritual. Through sacred ritual and practices, YogaMass® reconnects us to the divine presence among us, within us, and in the sacred meal that we share as we seek to be transformed into the likeness of Christ.

Yoga is a science of human experience that through practice and self-inquiry, leads to an inner knowing or consciousness within.  The word yoga, from the Sanskrit word yuj, means to yoke or join together, and is interpreted as “union.” The practice of yoga is an ancient practice of coming into union with the divine.

Mass is one of the names for Holy Communion, Holy Eucharist, and the Lord’s Supper.  It is the sacred meal shared in the presence and remembrance of Jesus Christ to mystically become one with him.

Integrating yoga’s breathwork, body movements, and meditation into the sacred meal liturgy offers a uniquely participative experience of mystical union with God in our bodies and our souls, personally and collectively.

Join us and experience what Jesus promises, “behold, the kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:21, KJV)
