Joanna Martin

Manager of Communications

With over ten years in administrative and business development experience, Joanna Martin thrives in her role as the Manager of Communications at the Institute. In this role, she manages the Institute's social media networks and assists with public relations and event planning. Joanna also helps facilitate the Institute’s many relationships with partners and consultants. She joined the Institute in June 2021. 

Joanna obtained a chemical dependency counselor certificate from Lone Star College which she has used to help teens and young adults recover from drug and alcohol addictions. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Sam Houston State University and is pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Counseling with an emphasis in play therapy.

A Houston native, Joanna enjoys bike riding with her son and spending quality time with friends and family.
