Program Administrator, Cities for Better Health-Houston

Stephanie Madumelu is the Program Administrator for Cities for Better Health (CBH) at the Institute for Spirituality and Health (ISH), where she supports the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of community-based initiatives aimed at advancing health equity and community well-being.

She earned a Master of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Texas Woman’s University. Stephanie brings a strong academic and professional foundation in public health practice, program administration, and research, supported by certifications in public health surveillance, biomedical research, and social and behavioral research. She is also a Qualified Mental Health Professional, allowing her to approach community health work through a holistic and person-centered lens.

Driven by a passion for global health and addressing health disparities, Stephanie founded Maky Bloom, a grassroots give-back organization focused on educating individuals, particularly women in underserved communities, about the importance of preventive medicine and early health intervention. Through this work, she is committed to empowering people with knowledge, increasing health awareness, and promoting proactive health behaviors.

Through her role at ISH-CBH and her community advocacy efforts, Stephanie remains dedicated to advancing culturally responsive, evidence-informed programs that strengthen health outcomes and foster healthier, more resilient communities.
