TCHATT provides telemedicine and telehealth programs to school districts across Texas to identify and assess the behavioral health needs of children and adolescents, while also offering access to mental health services. TCHATT offers direct services to children through referrals from school counselors and teachers.
It is accessible to Kerr County parents as a resource for information, support, and referrals. Referrals are accepted from teachers and counselors, but there is also a dedicated referral line open to parents.

In Kerrville, parents can go directly in person to the emotional support center run by the local Licensed Mental Health Authority (LMHA), staffed with trauma specialists.

The National Alliance for Children's Grief promotes awareness of the needs of children and teens grieving a death and provides education and resources for anyone who wants to support them. They offer trainings and have online resources available, including the following PDFs:
